Flirt Designs umbrella girls cheered on motorcycle Team AFTICA for the Mission Race Days at the Mission Raceway Silkscreener Eric Rodrigues of Studio 51 provided the silkscreening for all logo wear and umbrellas.
My pieces were chosen among other fashion design graduates to represent UFV at the Apparel BC Awards!
Flirt Designs had its formal debut on the runway at the UCFV Annual Graduate Fashion Show. My pieces for the entire two year program were white so I wouldn’t have to recreate anything for my line for the fashion show
I was backstage manager and got to enjoy my favourite sport at the time and work in the fashion industry! No Flirt Designs pieces this time, but met up with Vancouver Fashion Week organizers – great networking opportunity.
I participated in a celebrity rework competition for the Green Millennium Fashion Show, upcycling Value Village finds to create a neat outfit for a local celebrity. My celebrity was Tom Thacker from Gob – first place in the competition!
My first foray into pattern design. Without any prior knowledge of pattern making, I designed and created a complete garment with advertising materials within one day. I was so proud to have been awarded Bronze!
